ROT 743M Yorkshire Rose Ambulance Service have this 1973 Range Rover. It is fitted with a blue flashing beacon on the roof that can be extended upwards. It is fitted with a range of further blue flashing lights around the bodywork and two tone horns are mounted on the roof too.

N136 LEG A Ford Maverick operated by Event EMS. This is the first vehicle owned by the Darlington-based company that covers motorcross and equestrian events.

L930 RWU Another Ford Maverick operated by Event EMS. It is the second vehicle owned by the company and is shown here with a temporary combined lightbar/siren unit on the roof until a permanent light bar is fitted.

R49 DDV This is a Vauxhall Frontera that is marked as an ambulance and is used for blue light driver training by Roadcraft Driver Training Ltd.

YN07 GFZ This Yorkshire-registered Vauxhall Combo is used by London Ambulance Service for community resuscitation training.

MV53 HPU This is a British Red Cross Land Rover ambulance. It carries a red and yellow colour scheme and two bars of lights on the roof.

LK10 BWP This is a privately operated High Dependency Unit. It is used to transport patients between hospitals on behalf of the NHS. They are slightly taller than other ambulances making it easier for medics to move around in the rear.

RX03 WKY This Mercedes Vito is part of the Patient Transport Services for the North East Ambulance Service. Their staff do not respond to emergencies but are trained in basic first aid.

WN04 ZZH This St John Ambulance from Avon HQ is on an Emergency Call at night. It has big tyres fit for most terrain encountered.

OU07 AAF This St. John Ambulance Nissan Pathfinder is one of the 2007 editions to St. John’s. It is dealing with calls in winter conditions that are no problem for this 4×4 vehicle.

V710 HLH This silver Ford Focus is with the PHS ambulance service in Wales.

L402 SKV This VW Transporter is one of St. John Ambulance’s Command Units. In the command units are desks for the Silver Officer (On Scene Command) and the Radio Control. More modern vehicles have satellite dishes and aerials on top.

ND08 SVC This Mazda is one of Medroc’s Cars. The company supplies medical professionals to large events. This is a Rapid Response unit fitted with blues & twos ready to go on a call.
