RL51 DWG This is a Fiat Ducato. No company name is shown on this private ambulance, however it was operated at the time olf this photograph by East Anglia EMS. It has a sign on the side stating “working in partnership with the Great North Air Ambulance”.

WL04 NXB is a Ford Ranger that is used by Sharp Fire Ltd. It is decked out is full battenburg markings and is fitted with a blue light bar. It is being used here for fire extinguisher transportation. The ‘Truckman’ back can be removed and replaced with a large hose reel converting the car into a light 4×4 fire engine.

This example has a single thin yellow stripe up the sides, the service’s crest and a removable blue light with integral siren unit.

WX54 VSK This MAN prime mover can be seen carrying one of a number of urban search and rescue pods.
The pods can be rapidly loaded and loaded at incidents. Here pod 3 is being unloaded by the prime mover.
This side view shows the hydraulic arm which is used to load and unload the pods onto the prime mover.
Here we have a close up of a pod. This particular one is urban search and rescue pod 4. All pods based around the country are numbered the same so that the equipment contained within them is consistent.
