WA04 AEN This is a Honda ST1300 that is operated by Medevent Limited. The bike is shown here at speed following a group of elite racing cyclists on closed city streets. The medic can offer help to any riders crashing before his colleagues back him up in a private ambulance.

YJ59 OPG This blue Land Rover Defender is operated by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service. It carries a simple stripe of battenburg down the sides and a yellow bonnet. Blue flashing LED lights are fitted to the grille and a small blue beacon is on the roof.



The rear view of this rugged 4×4 which can access remote land and get through deep snow much more effectively than a traditional ambulance.

D655 DRP This is a 1987 Leyland Redline bus that has been converted into a mobile treatment centre for St. John. It has the same livery as the Crusader ambulances and has two blue light bars on the roof. It was still operational in 2011.

H3 LPW This Isuzu Trooper 4×4 is a standard ambulance response vehicle used mainly for covering events off road. This type of response vehicle does not generally carry patients but gets quickly to their aid. The registration is spaced so it reads like “Help”.



The private ambulance is seen here towing a quad bike that has blue lights and sirens and can be used for covering events and going through muddy fields.

ROT 743M Yorkshire Rose Ambulance Service have this 1973 Range Rover. It is fitted with a blue flashing beacon on the roof that can be extended upwards. It is fitted with a range of further blue flashing lights around the bodywork and two tone horns are mounted on the roof too.
