LD58 DNO A Yamaha FJR that is used as a special blood bike to replenish sticks carried by the Kent Air Ambulance. It is the first bike of its type and is an ex-police bike that is now operated by SERV Kent. The bike goes to the air base each night to swap unused blood for fresh.

SG62 KSK A Mercedes Benz Vito van that is seen on trail with the Highways Agency in early 2013. It is moved around the country for evaluation with different teams.
DK55 YCY This Mercedes Benz Sprinter is used by Network Rail as a Rail Incident Control Post.

SG62 RFX The Scottish Emergency Rider Volunteer Service (ScotsERVS) have this Skoda Scout 2.0 4×4. The car is useful in poor weather when the team’s emergency motorcycles are dangerous to use. The car is used to transport blood and also donor breast milk.

NA09 DDN A grey Land Rover Defender that is operated by Northumberland Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Authority. It is towing a trailer carrying a fast twin-engined fisheries patrol boat. The organisation was previously know as The Northumberland Sea Fisheries Committee from 1890-2011.

L784 JNT A Talus MB-H launching tractor. It is used to launch and retrieve the RNLI’s Mersey Class lifeboat in Seahouses, Northumberland. It can drive into water up to 5 feet deep (1.5m) using a joystick control. It replaced a similar B-registration vehicle that can be seen elsewhere on this site.
LX61 CRV This is a 2011 VOSA Ford Galaxy. It is the Zetec 2.0 TDCI model with an automatic gearbox.

YP58 HBF Mines Rescue have this Ford Transit as the ‘first away’ emergency response vehicle at Kellingley Mine. It is fitted with two blue light bars on the roof as well as repeaters in the front grille.

YS54 MBU This Ford Ranger in silver is used as an emergency response vehicle by the Mines Rescue Service. It is fitted with a blue flashing light bar and is labelled as a Confined Spaces Rescue Cover vehicle.

TRL 319 This 2007 Volvo V70 D5 is covered in bright red and orange decals to make it stand out on the roads. It is used by the Department for Transport’s Transport Research Laboratory for collision investigation work. It carries a personalised registration plate and a full-width amber light bar. The team use the car to analyse road collisions and provide expert witness accounts.

The rear view on a different occasion when it is towing a boat with another rescue boat affixed on top. Different waterways in Greater Glasgow require different craft and can be dangerous especially in the winter months with frozen waterways and floating ice slabs.
