LL08 XFN is a City Police Vauxhall Astra. It is decked out in full height battenburg and carries the 2008 revision of the City of London Police badge.
BU56 JKF is a silver Range Rover TD6 that is used by the Met Police. Behind is a similarly-registered sister vehicle.
FL08 LBA This is a Skoda Octavia vRS which is decked out in Leicestershire Police’s colours. The photograph shows that it is fitted with blue lights on the roof, dashboard and next to the front fog lights.

This is a demonstration BMW which has been designed by Futronics for Merseyside Police.
X56 YTY is a 1.0 litre Nissan Micra S in Durham Constabulary livery. It does not have blue lights or sirens fitted to it and was still in use in August 2008 for community safety duties.
PL05 BFZ is a Peugeot 497 HDi used by Durham Constabulary for driver training. It is marked up in the full force livery and carries a full sized light bar with repeater LED’s on the front grill.

This is an unregistered Honda CR-V demonstrator. The vehicle is fitted entirely with clear LED lights, with repeaters on the front bumper and grill.
BU07 BEO is a BMW R 1200 RT belonging to the Metropolitan Police in London. It carries the standard blue and yellow battenburg markings, angled to fit better with the motorbike’s bodywork.
FJ56 MTV is a Honda CRV I-CDTI Sport used by Derbyshire Constabulary. Note the blue repeater LED’s mounted on the grill and the absence of a battenburg livery.
FD52 HAE A Police Land Rover being used on the type of terrain that the Land Rover was built for.
LX56 FYJ This is a Metropolitan Police VW Transporter personnel carrier. It carries a simple livery with no blue flashing lights.
LY07 KNN is a Met Police BMW motorbike in full battenburg markings. It is parked here blocking a protest truck outside the Houses of Parliament.
YJ57 NKF is a Citroen Dispatch van from North Yorkshire Police. Notice the oval-shaped light bar on the roof as well as the circular air vent for prisoners in the rear cage cell.
YK54 EFD also with North Yorkshire Police is this Nissan Terrano. Seen here in deep snow on moorland it is clear why the force run a number of 4×4 vehicles in rural locations.
YG52 FYD This is a 2002 Peugeot Expert van from North Yorkshire. It has all of its emergency lighting switched on as it leaves the station car park. Notice the alternately flashing headlamps and blue grille lights. It also has flashing white front fog lights and repeaters in the lower level of the roof light bar. The upper level of the light bar is all blue.
VX05 ASU West Mercia Police operate a number of these turbo diesel Vauxhall Astras as beat cars. Notice the additional of the Crimestoppers logo and contact details on the bonnet.
SY02 TYX is a Ford Transit van that is a mobile incident command vehicle with Northern Constabulary.
YJ57 NRX and YJ57 NPX are two Peugeot Boxer 350s that are part of West Yorkshire Police’s non-emergency fleet.

SN57 FLE is a Mitsubishi L200 with a Truckman rear. It is used by Central Scotland police and carries a single band of battenburg. On the roof is a full width light bar with built-in siren, and a forward facing floodlight.

WX55 VZD is a Ford Transit that is used by Wiltshire Police. It carries asingle band of battenburg markings around its waist.
Here is an example of a Thames Valley police Vauxhall Omega estate in full battenburg livery.
This blue Land Rover is used by Thames Valley in hostile environments. It is heavily armour plated and has reinforced windows. It carries a small police sign on the front and a blue light bar on the roof.
This is a 56-plate VW Transporter from Greater Manchester police’s fleet. It carries the distinctive blue roof of GMP and a departure from the standard battenburg: a blue and yellow striped band around the waist.
LX05 DSY is a Met Police BMW 1300RT in full battenburg markings.
S652 SLB is the a BMW R1100 RT also with the Met police. This version carries the traditional red and yellow stripe colour scheme.
VX53 LLW is a West Mercia Police Mercedes Benz Sprinter. Notice that the riot shield runners are still in place, but there is no shield present.
YJ57 NNF This is a Citroen Dispatch van that is with North Yorkshire Police. Notice the small leds that flash blue on the font grille and bumper edges.
AJ1 This is an Iveco Eurocargo mobile police station. Operated by North Yorkshire Police, this vehicle can be deployed at crime hotspots, events or remote villages for example. AJ1 has been the registration plate used on North Yorks. chief constables’ cars since the first one in 1907. When Grahame Maxwell took over as chief in 2007 he decided to transfer the plate to a community police vehicle.
CX57 AEA is a North Wales Police area car. It is a silver Ford Focus with full battenburg markings. You can see that two flashing blue lights and two flashing white lights are packed behind the grille. The Dyna Ddigon wording is Welsh for ‘that’s enough’. It is a collaborative project between North Wales Police and other agencies to reduce certain types of crime.
