CX57 AAF A front-corner view of an identical car, this time without the blue lights switched on.
This is a silver Audi A4 Avant which is in police demonstration colours.
SY04 BRV is a Volvo S70 that is used by Northern Constabulary in Scotland. This overhead shot shows the light bar with integral matrix message sign to the rear. Also notice the lack of roof markings. These were used by police helicopters for identification purposes, but are no longer used by the air crew and so have not been added to new vehicles.
WX07 BWK is a Harley Davidson FLHP ‘Road King’ police motorbike. It has a 1.6-litre engine and has many flashing blue led’s around the body.

PN07 EEH This is a police Land Rover Discovery that is used by traffic police in Lancashire. Notice the two chrome spot-lamps on the roof along with the light bar.
WX07 MWO This Ford Fiesta is used by Wiltshire’s Neighbourhood Policing Team. It carries a simple low-budget livery and small blue light bar on the roof.

NX07 JZU Cleveland Police operate this Skoda Octavia vRS as part of their traffic policing fleet.

NX56 AJU Another one of Cleveland’s cars is this Volvo V70 T5. It carries a clear led light bar that flashes blue, with some white light to the front and some red to the rear too.
FX53 LLR is a Vauxhall Omega which is with Lincolnshire Police. Notice how the ‘police’ wording on the bonnet is curved and it has an un-aerodynamic halogen/strobe light bar on the roof.
HX07 FTF This Nissan Navara is being used to tow a horse box for Hampshire Police.
Here are two Honda ST1300s that are used by the Isle of Man police. They carry the national emblem of three legs in a circle. Many police and ambulance services withdrew their use of the ST1300 due to a high-speed weave that injured a number of riders. Some services just limited the top speed that riders could go.
This is a Tayside Police VW Passat Saloon. It is in full battenburg livery and has the distinctive Tayside emblem on the doors and bonnet.
This is a 2007-model Mitsibishi L200 pick-up used by Hertfordshire Police.
This black police car is a Skoda Octavia Ambiente demonstrator. Because of the increased amount of bodywork that is covered by the livery, some forces are moving to less conventionally coloured police cars. The main reason for doing this is the higher re-sale value.
Here is a Ford S-max with yellow stickers over a grey bonnet. Notice the small but bright flashing leds mounted on the grille.
WU51 FHF is a Honda Civic which is in service with Wiltshire Constabulary as a general purpose patrol car. It carries a simple but eye-catching livery of mainly day-glow and reflective yellow.
SY05 BAU is a Northern Constabulary Land Rover Range Rover SE TD6 3-litre. This big 4×4 has a big engine, but due to its 2.6 ton weight the 177 bhp only allows a 0-60 mph time of 14 seconds, before heading on to a top speed of 111 mph. However this is more than made up by its excellent off road capability.
SK04 ADZ Lothian and Borders police run a number of these carriers. This Ford Transit example has force markings on the doors and some red reflective tape on the rear.

AY54 EGX This Volvo V70 is with Suffolk Constabulary.
This is a 57 registration Ford Ranger belonging to North Yorkshire Police. Notice the two large light bars on the roof, needed because one light bar could not easily be seen from the front and back at the same time.
YF56 ZTD is a BMW Z4 M. This car is used for publicity work and is not operational.
PG04 WPK This is a North Yorkshire Police Skoda Octavia VRS. The silver car is primarily used for road policing duties.

GMN 988H The police on the Isle of Man operate this Honda ST1300 motorbike in full blue-yellow battenburg markings.
HX55 AEF is one of a number of Ford Fiestas that Hampshire Police operate in the South of England.
X523 JUK This is a Land Rover Discovery TD5 that is used by Lincolnshire Police’s wildlife crime officers. It allows the officers to access remote land where crimes such as badger baiting, dog fighting, illegal trapping and egg stealing can happen.
PX55 DDA, PX55 DCZ and PX55 DCF are three identical Ford Focuses are used by Cumbria Police. They are all fitted with a Vector v-shaped light bar as well as the force’s standard colour scheme.
FX55 GYO leads a line of five Ford Focuses across grass as part of a demonstration. They are all with Lincolnshire Police.
NX56 BFA This is an example of one of Cleveland Police’s VW Transporter collision investigation vans. You can see that on the roof are two light bars and a fold-down floodlight.
